The south Santa Cruz County region of Pajaro Valley and Watsonville boast pristine beaches and a Mediterranean climate, and affords visitors everything from lively festivals to bird watching. The annual Monterey Bay Birding Festival celebrates the hundreds of species of waterfowl, raptors and songbirds which call the area home. Other celebrations like the Watsonville Fly-In and attractions like Watsonville Plaza, the Henry J. Mello Center, Ag History Museum, Watsonville Fairgrounds, Pajaro Valley Arts Gallery, and the Pajaro Valley Historical Museum are other sights not to be missed.
